Flags Across Arkansas

Flags Across Arkansas is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and heritage of the Confederate States of America. The purpose of the Flags Across Arkansas is to strive to educate and engage individuals who are interested in the history of the Confederacy, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of this pivotal era in American history. Our goal is to connect with like-minded individuals and encourage them to join the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), by providing a packet including a battle flag to potential members to grow the ranks of the Arkansas Division Sons of Confederate Veterans as well as raising up battle flags in communities across the state of Arkansas.

Our Purpose:

  • Educational Outreach: We aim to provide accurate, respectful, and comprehensive education about the history of the Confederacy, including sharing the cultural, and military, aspects of the period. Through presentations, discussions, and historical reenactments, we bring the past to life and offer a nuanced perspective on the Civil War era.

  • Historical Preservation: Flags Across Arkansas is dedicated to preserving Confederate raising Confederate Flags Across the beautiful state of Arkansas ensuring that future generations can learn from and appreciate this important part of American history.

  • Community Engagement: We seek to build a community of individuals who share an interest in Confederate history. Our activities are designed to foster a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among members. 

  • Advocacy for the Sons of Confederate Veterans: By sharing the rich history of the Confederacy, we aim to inspire individuals to join the Sons of Confederate Veterans. The SCV is a national organization that honors Confederate ancestors, promotes historical accuracy, and supports various charitable and educational projects. By supporting Flags across Arkansas your mission will be raising Confederate Flags up across the state as well as seeing that everyday proud Arkansaswayers raise the Battle flag of the Confederate Army remembering our gallant heroes who gave their last full measure of service to their homes and country.

 

The committee will be headed by the Historian and Color Sergeant of the Arkansas Division and up to three additional Division Members. Members are appointed by the Historian of the Arkansas Division.
